Villanova.ai S.p.A. is a NewCo established on May 21, 2025, through an agreement between Tiscali Italia S.p.A. and Expert.ai S.p.A. With autonomous governance focused on innovation, it presents itself today as a new industrial entity, rooted in research yet designed to deliver real-world applications and to develop projects leveraging cutting-edge technologies. The company represents a strategic and operational response within the European landscape, supported by the IPCEI (Important Projects of Common European Interest) and LLMs4EU (Large Language Models for the European Union) programs. This positioning ensures both financial and managerial solidity. Its clear mission is to contribute to building the European ecosystem of generative artificial intelligence and the composable platforms required to harness it. In particular, Villanova.ai S.p.A. leads the Villanova Project, having assumed ownership following an investment agreement signed on September 25, 2025. Selected by MIMIT under the IPCEI framework, the project aims to develop multimodal and multilingual generative models (Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish) for key sectors such as tourism, Industry 5.0, agriculture, public administration, and the legal domain.
